Adult Basic Education/Basic Skills

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Adult Basic Education (ABE) focuses on remediation and skill building. A student enrolled in the ABE program may be receiving instruction in one or more of the following courses: Mathematics, Language Arts, or Reading.
 
The purpose of the class is to raise the levels of competency so students can be promoted to the High School Equivalency (HSE) Preparation or the High School Diploma (HSD) programs. Students may also take this course as a preparatory class to pass the HiSET Exam or simply as a basic skills refresher. 
 

PREREQUISITE

All students will take the CASAS Reading and Math assessment for placement before they are registered in a class
